Trabzonspor have responded well to their first loss of the season in the Turkish Super Lig, and they’ll be looking to maintain a good run when they play host to Istanbul Basaksehir. Trabzonspor are top of the league standings with 45 points, 12 ahead of Istanbul Basaksehir who are third. It is a tough period for teams in the Super Lig with the congested fixtures but Trabzonspor seem capable of negotiating through. They have won both matches after their first league loss of the season at the hands of Antalyaspor. The league leaders are coming from a 2-1 win at Altay, the fifth straight league game in which they’ve scored, but that was the second time in three matches that both sides have been able to score. In only three of their last 10 home matches have Trabzonspor managed clean sheets.

Unlike last term, Istanbul Basaksehir are enjoying a better season and a win here will move them much closer to the title challenge. They weren’t the best of starters in the league, losing six of the opening eight matches but have recovered well and going into this game they are unbeaten in the last 10 league matches. Istanbul Basaksehir are coming from a 3-1 win over Giresunspor, their third win in five league matches. It was also the third straight league game in which both sides managed to score. Istanbul Basaksehir have failed to score in just one of their last five league matches and they only have two clean sheets in their last 11 league matches.
