Galatasary are the defending Turkish Super Liga champions and will be again if they continue their excellent start to the new season. They have three wins out of three scoring ten goals and conceding just the one. That one goal was conceded just seven minutes into the new season as they traveled to Ankaragucu but recovered to run out 3-1 winners. A 1-0 home win over Gaztepe followed and then they hit top form with a 6-0 thrashing of Alanyaspor  They have won their last nine league games and have won the last  four away from home. It was their home form that won them the title last season with 16 wins and a draw from 17 games and they did lose seven away matches but look to be in great form at present.

Trabzonspor finished in fifth place last season but were 16 points adrift of the top four and missed out on a place in Europe. They lost their opening game of the season being defeated by Istanbul Basaksehir 2-0. Their first home win produced a 3-1 win over Sivasspor and then drew 2-2 at Ankaragucu leading twice in the game but conceding a 91st minute equaliser. That leaves them in ninth place five points behind their opponents who they beat at home last season but they did lose six home league matches in the 2017-18 season. Galatasarary are in the better form at present and can get the win here.
