Trabzonspor will aim for an immediate bounce back after last weekend’s loss when they host the newly-promoted Rizespor. This Turkish Super Lig match will be played at the Papara Park Stadium on Saturday with the hosts on three points and the visitors on one. Trabzonspor are coming off a 2-0 loss to Galatasaray, which came on the heels of a 1-0 win over Antalyaspor to start their league campaign. The defeat to the reigning champions isn’t too hard to digest, but it is safe to say that the hosts are yet to hit their stride. They have also been knocked out of the Cup competition which meant they lost two of their last three games. The one thing working in their favour is their record at this venue. What’s impressive from that draw is the way their back line held firm. Even their midfield play was superior, and they have all the ingredients to test the Trabzonspor side. They could probably set themselves up for another defensive shift, as they continue their quest to stay away from the relegation zone. The winless start though, extends their search for a Super Lig win to four matches dating back to May 2022. Even on the road, their form has been patchy with 14 losses from their last 20 away Super Lig matches.
