Trabzonspor vs Istanbul Basaksehir Prediction & Betting Tips - Super Lig

Trabzonspor will play host to Istanbul Basaksehir in the Turkish Sper Lig on Saturday afternoon. The hosts are currently fourth in the league standings, while the visitors are 12th. Trabzonspor will be looking to build on their positive start to the season. They have managed 26 points in 15 games, which sees them occupy the sole Conference League qualification spot at the moment. However, while Fenerbahce and Galatasaray are running away at the top of the standings, the race behind them is still very tight. The hosts are three points behind third-placed Kayserispor and level on points with Besiktas, who are the first side below the European places. Trabzonspor won their last league match 3-1 against Gaziantep, which followed a 3-1 win over Corum in the Cup. Notably, the Burgundy Blues’ will be the fresher of these sides heading into this one since their last match was suspended. The hosts have won five of their seven home games this season and are the favourites in this one. 

Meanwhile, after narrowly missing out on a European spot last season, Istanbul Basaksehir have experienced a notable drop in performance this term. They had managed just 18 points in 16 matches this season and are currently only three points above Konyaspor, who are the first side below the dotted line. After winning only one match between mid-September and October, the Grey Owls have shown improvement in more recent times. They claimed a solid 3-1 win over Sivasspor last weekend and have won three of the last four league games since the last international break. However, the visitors come into this match following three consecutive away losses and are winless in their last six. During that time, Istanbul failed to score in all but one of those matches. Despite being the underdogs, the visitors have won two of their last three against this opponent.
