Both of these clubs made slow starts to their 2023/24 season but have shown improved recnt form. Toulouse are 11th in Ligue 1 but will go ahead of visitors 10th placed Lyon if winning this match on Thursday. Toulouse are only a point behind their opponents and come into this game having won three of their last four league matches. Their most recent Ligue 1 fixture saw them lose 1-0 away at Le Havre. There's still work to be done before they are safe from relegation. Les Violets are currently four points above the bottom three and a point behind Lyon.
