Toulouse vs Lens Prediction & Betting Tips - Ligue 1

It's a big week for Lens who are third in Ligue 1 and nine points behind leaders PSG. They have two games to play beginning with this one away at 13th placed Toulouse. Lens are currently four points behind second placed Marseille with this game in hand. The weekend sees them host Marseille so two good results could well see them move up to second. That's important as second place in Ligue 1 takes you straight into the group stages of next season's Champions League rather than the qualifiers. Lens probably need to win all their final six games to have any chance of winning the league. Sunday saw leaders PSG lose at home to Lorient so it could still be an exciting end to the season. The weekend saw Lens beat fourth placed Monaco 3-0 at home so come into this match in good form. Away form has been disappointing at times this season but they had won two in a row on the road before losing to PSG.

Toulouse will receive a great welcome from their fans after winning the French Cup at the weekend. Four goals in the first 31 minutes led to an eventual 5-1 win and they'll be playing in Europe next season. In Ligue 1 they are nine points above the relegation zone so unlikely to be a Ligue 2 team next term. Two of their last three league fixtures have been won but home form has been poor of late. The last four home Ligue 1 games have all been lost with eight goals conceded. It may be a case of after the Lord Mayor's Show here and we go for Lens to get a vital away win.
