Tottenham Hotspur have had an inconsistent season and will be looking to keep their European football ambitions alive when they welcome Wolverhampton Wanderers. Spurs go to this game with 56 points, and in seventh place while Wolves go to this game placed 12th in the standings, with 45 points. Spurs lost 3-1 away to Leeds United in their last game and with a much stronger run at home, they’ll be hoping to rise from the loss. They have two wins in the last six league matches, with one clean sheet only in the run. Four times in the six matches, Spurs have conceded at least two goals. At home, Spurs have five wins in their last six matches; their only loss coming against Manchester United on 11th April. In terms of home form in the Premier League, Spurs are third, with nine wins in 17 matches.

Wolves are safely tucked in mid table but judging from their performance last season, this campaign has been dismal. They’ve however shown flashes of their best in the recent matches, with three wins in the last five matches. Apart from the shock 4-0 loss at home to Burnley on 25th April, Wolves have done well in the last five games, scoring in four and keeping two clean sheets. They came from a goal down in their last game to beat Brighton 2-1 with Adama Traore and Morgan Gibbs-White scoring the goals as Brighton finished with nine men. Wolves coach Espirito Nuno Santo has been linked with a move to Spurs and here he will have a chance to show what he’s got. Espirito’s side will be looking to improve on the one win in five away league matches they’ve registered ahead of this game. Two wins in the last 12 away league matches don’t paint a very good picture of Wolves; in their 17 away matches so far, they have five wins.
