Tottenham vs Southampton Prediction & Betting Tips - Premier League

Tottenham's failure to win either of their last two games ensured that Leicester City won the title on Monday. Spurs now have the important task of not just securing the runners up spot but finishing ahead of Arsenal. Because of a superior goal difference just one win will ensure that happens, Whether that win comes against Southampton I'm not sure as the visitors are in good form, scoring a fair few goals and still chasing a Europa League place. Spurs are unbeaten in their last eight games but four of those have been drawn hence their lack of a league title. At White Hart Lane they are unbeaten in seven league games since the loss to Leicester (another reason they're not champs). Southampton had a great win at home to Manchester City last weekend scoring four for the second game in a row. Over the last eight games only Leicester have more points than the Saints and the champions are the only side to beat the Saints in those last eight matches. They are two points behind sixth placed West Ham and three behind Manchester United in fifth. With those two sides playing each other in midweek, that gives Saints a chance but they have played a game more, They'll have a better idea of their chances once their two rivals have played on Saturday but seventh might be good enough to get them into the Europa League unless Palace win the FA Cup. A hard game to predict but I can see a few goals here so go for over 2.5 goals as my tip.
