Tottenham vs Olympiacos Prediction & Betting Tips - Champions League
by Steve Ashfield | in Champions League Predictions
This time last week Jose Mourinho probably thought he would be commentating or giving comments on the Champions League. Instead, he is managing Tottenham who are second in their group and six points clear of bottom of the table Olympiakos. Spurs got life under Jose off to a good start with a 3-2 win at West Ham United. They looked stronger in midfield but conceding two late goals shows that Mourinho still has lots of work to do. Now he turns his attention to the Champions League where Spurs can clinch qualification if matching Red Star Belgrade's result. Tottenham have a four-point lead over them and a win here will definitely see them in the last sixteen. They have won two of their five group games, both over Red Star and scoring nine goals in the process. Their away game against Olympiakos saw them draw 2-2 but they led that match 2-0.
That point against Tottenham in their opening fixture is the only one that Olympiakos have earned in this group. Their following three games have all been lost but they still have a chance of prolonging their European season. The Greeks trail Red Star by two points and if Bayern Munich get the expected win over them, Olympiakos will have a chance of making it into the Europa League, even if losing this match. So far in this group, Olympiakos have played both Bayern and Red Star away from home and lost both games with five goals conceded. Over the past couple of years, they have played eight away games in this competition with only two wins in qualifiers and five losses. The tip here is for Mourinho's good start to continue with a home win and leading at both half and full time.

Our Tottenham vs Olympiacos Prediction
Tottenham can qualify for the last sixteen even without winning this game. They got off to a winning start on Saturday with a win away at West Ham and now it's time for Jose Mourinho's first home game. Olympiakos drew with Tottenham at home but have lost the next three games played and have a poor away record in the group stages. The tip here is for Tottenham to win and be ahead at both half and full time.
