Manchester City are in fourth but only four points clear of ninth-placed Brighton and Hove Albion. Sunday saw them lose another Premier League fixture just a few days after their European exit. With their next league matches being at Nottingham Forest and home to Brighton, more bad results could see the champions having to rely on winning the FA Cup to be in Europe next season. Tottenham - Manchester City: Form Analysis
Tottenham have seen the return of some key players in recent weeks. All of a sudden, they've started winning games again and have won their last three Premier League fixtures. Saturday saw them win 4-1 at Ipswich and that made it eight goals in three games.
Scoring on a regular basis is great news for the Lilywhites and so is keeping clean sheets. Two of their last three league games have seen their opponents fail to score a goal.
Spurs are bidding for a league double.
Spurs will be hoping to complete a league double over City after that 4-0 away win. Home form for Tottenham had seen them go seven league games without a win before getting a 1-0 victory over Manchester United.
Who'd have guessed that by the end of February, City and Spurs will have lost 21 league games between them? City's home loss to Liverpool was their eighth loss in this season's Premier League. That was their second loss in their last three league fixtures.
On the road, the Citizens have only won two of their last nine away league matches with five defeats.

The injury list is gradually being reduced but Tottenham are still going to be missing some key players on Wednesday. Dominic Solanke and Richarlison are still out injured but at least Spurs are playing well up front again with seven goals in their last three games.
Timo Werner may be in the squad for this match but he's only scored one goal this season, though that was against City in the Carabao Cup. At the back, Spurs are still without Micky van de Ven. Cristian Romero and Radu Dragusin but Pedro Porro is expected to return.
James Maddison didn't start the game against Ipswich but is likely to start this match. There'll be plenty of midfield battles in this match and Maddison's return could well be a key factor and tip the balance in the favor of the home side.
Will Haaland make his return?
Erliing Haaland has missed the last two City games due to a knee injury. Pep Guardiola isn't giving too much away over whether he'll be fit to play some part against Tottenham. At least they now have Omar Marmoush and he's settled in well at City. John Stones joins Rodri, Manuel Akanji and Oscar Bobb on the injury list.
Kevin De Bruyne did play against Liverpool but it's not clear if he'll be starting against Tottenham. City just need to somehow stem the number of goals that are being conceded with just two of the last 16 on the road seeing them keep a clean sheet.
