Fifth placed Tottenham host Brighton and Hove Albion who are eighth in the Premier League. Tottenham will be looking for some revenge on the Seagulls who beat them 4-2 in the reverse fixture played last month. Spurs are only two points adrift of fourth placed Aston Villa and can move into the top four with a win over Brighton. That’s because Villa don’t play again until the day after when they host Manchester United. Tottenham are unbeaten in the four league games they’ve played since being beaten at Brighton. They have won their last four home games in the Premier League making it eight wins out of 11. Both teams have scored in their last seven home league matches and all bar one of their last 14 in the top flight.

Brighton are in eighth position but would be higher but for their away league form. They have won three of their 11 games but that’s due to good early season results. Only one of their last nine away matches in the Premier League has been won. Their most recent away fixture saw them beaten 4-0 at Luton Town. Three of their last four away league matches have seen them fail to get on the scoresheet. They returned to scoring form when beating Crystal Palace 4-1 at home last weekend. A bet on Tottenham to win and maintain their challenge for a top four finish looks well worth making..
