What is it with these tournament titles? Neither of these sides won a championship last season so why are they in the International Champions Cup? Atletico Madrid so nearly ended the season as Champions of Europe and weren't far behind Barcelona in La Liga. Spurs actually mounted a Premier League title challenge for a change but wilted towards the end of the campaign and ended up in third place. This is just a glorified friendly making the clubs yet more money so don't stake too much money on it. Neither side have really shown their cards when it comes to spending millions in the transfer market, Madrid have managed to keep Torres though which is really important for them. Madrid are an experienced side and Spurs haven't really done that well in European competition for a while so Madrid can get a win here.
