MLS action will continue this week as Toronto prepares to take on the New England Revolution at BMO Field on Sunday. The hosts are currently in ninth place in the MLS Eastern Conference this season, with 12 points after their first 10 games, nine points behind the league leaders, and just three above the NY Red Bulls at the bottom of the league. Toronto pulled off a much-needed 1-0 win over New York City in their last match, bringing an end to a five-match winless run that included four consecutive draws and a 4-2 loss to Philadelphia Union a week earlier. However, on their home patch, Toronto have been difficult to overcome, unbeaten in their first five matches at BMO field, with a record of two wins and three draws to date. Toronto have failed to win any of their last three matches against this opponent (W1 D2) and may find it difficult again here with the Revolution looking solid in the early season. 

Meanwhile, New England were able to take a point from their top-of-the-table clash against Cincinnati last week, which extended their excellent recent record to seven matches unbeaten, including four wins and three draws. The visitors currently sit atop the MLS Western Conference standings with 21 points in their ten matches, level with Cincinnati but leading on goal difference. In their four away matches this season, New England have posted a record of two wins, one draw, and one loss so far, though they are unbeaten in their last two matches on the road. The last time these sides met it ended in a 2-2 draw; however, based on the form the teams have shown early in the season, the league leaders will feel that they should come away with all three points from this one.
