Tondela are pushing for a place in the top half in Primeira Liga in Portugal and on Saturday they’ll get a stern test when they host title chasing FC Porto. Tondela are placed ninth with 28 points and Porto second on 57 points. While they are in mid table ahead of this game, Tondela can’t afford to relax just yet; they are only six points above the relegation playoff spot with nine matches still to play. The visitors are coming from a 2-0 loss to Chelsea in the Champions League where they missed their lead scorers Mehdi Taremi and Sergio Oliveira who were suspended. These two are definite starters in this game and Sergio Conceicao will hope his team does the business early enough so they can be rested for the Chelsea return. Oliveira has three goals in the last four league matches and 12 in the league while Taremi has scored nine in the league. With four straight wins in the league and 19 unbeaten, Porto will be the favorites here despite playing away and they’ve scored twice in each of their last four league matches. Away from home, they’re unbeaten in nine, winning seven. They’ve earned 27 of a possible 36 points in away matches and eight wins in the 12 games gives them a 67% winning rate on the road.
