Tanzania will seek to make it a clean sweep against Uganda in the AFCON Qualifiers when they face off for the second time in four days on Tuesday in Dar Es Salaam. Tanzania beat Uganda 1-0 in Egypt on Friday and now sit second in Group F with four points, three above bottom-placed Uganda. With three matches left to play, Tanzania know how important it is to try and cement second place and will play for nothing but a win here. They have won their last two AFCON qualifiers against Uganda and also come into this match in better form having won two of their last three matches. On a sad note though is that they could be without the services of Simon Musuva due to injury. The forward, who scored the decisive goal in Kampala, was withdrawn with five minutes left. Tanzania missed out on the previous AFCON tournament in Cameroon after breaking an almost 40-year wait to play at the continental stage in 2019 and in front of a raucous Benjamin Mkapa Stadium on Tuesday, will make it extremely difficult for Uganda.

Uganda have a superior record against Tanzania with 12 wins from the 20 matches they have played one another but in recent competitive outings (5) have only beaten their East African neighbours once. It is therefore not a coincidence that they come into this match as the underdogs despite qualifying for two of the previous three Nations Cups. The pressure is with the Cranes as anything less than a win here will make it extremely difficult for them to qualify from this group. And to make matters worse, they will have to do, possibly, without the services of Allan Okello and Steven Sserwadda who both came off injured on Friday.
