Tampine Rovers are top of the Singapore Premier League with six points from their three games. They host Home United (now also known as Lion City Sailors) who are seventh in the table but only having played one league game this season. Tampine Rovers lead the table on goal difference from Geylang having won two of their three games. They started the season with a 1-0 home win over Balestier getting their season off to a good start with an eighth minute goal. They didn't follow that up though as they lost their second league game 2-0 away at DPMMM. Their last two games have been won though with a 2-1 home win over Shan United followed by a 2-1 home league victory against Tanjong Pagar. A win here will be their sixth in a row at home.

The visitors have only had one league game this season.  That was a 1-1 draw at Tanjong Pagar, having to come from behind to get the point. They will be hoping for a better result than their last two trips to Tampine Rovers with both ending in 3-0 defeats. It's a while since they have had a win with three defeats and two draws in their last five matches and the same number of games without an away win. Go for a home win in this match.
