Switzerland will play host to Israel in Group I of the Euro 2024 qualifiers with the hosts keen on building on their opening win in the group. Switzerland are top of the group with three points and Israel are fourth with one point, gained from their draw with Kosovo. The Swiss thrashed Belarus 5-0 in their opening game of this group, Renato Steffen helping himself to a first half hat trick before Granit Xhaka and Mohamed Amdouni completed the rout in the second half. That was a third win in five matches for the Swiss, and a second clean sheet in that run. None of their last six matches has been at home and they will be glad to be back for this one. They have straight wins in the last two home matches, and the Swiss will hope this run builds into their impressive run in the Euro qualifiers. In the last four matches in European Championship qualifiers, Switzerland have straight wins, with three clean sheets. They have conceded just two goals in the last five Euro qualification matches. They are unbeaten in eight Euro qualifiers at home, winning seven.

Israel (who have already booked a place in the play-offs through Nations League form) had to come from behind to draw 1-1 with Kosovo at home in their opening game of this group.
