Switzerland vs Belgium Prediction & Betting Tips - UEFA Nations League
by Steve Ashfield | in UEFA Nations League Predictions
The last 31 games have only seen Belgium lose once and that was to France in the World Cup semi-final. They head into this final UEFA Nations League group match with a three-point lead over their opponents Switzerland. They have won all three of their group matches and scored seven goals in the process conceding just one in the 2-1 home win over Switzerland. A draw will be enough to take them through to the finals after their 2-0 home win over Iceland on Thursday evening. It's a little more complicated if they lose as will shortly be explained. Before the loss to France, you have to go back to 2016 and the European Championships for their last away defeat, a loss to Wales.
Switzerland have won two of their three group matches but had a nightmare on Wednesday when losing 1-0 at home to Qatar. Hardly the preparation you are looking for heading into a vital match against one of the world's top teams. We'll end up in a tie-breaker situation if Switzerland can win this match. If they win 1-0 that will get them through because of the away goal they scored. if it's a 2-1 win then it can go to the highest scorers in the group and that'd be Switzerland thanks to that 6-0 win over Iceland. If however we get to a 3-2 or 4-3 win then it's good news for Belgium. A win by more than a one-goal margin will get Switzerland through but all those mathematical calculations will be of no point if they don't get a win and they're not in the best of form. Not just the loss to Qatar but also an away defeat by England. Four of their last six matches have been lost with the other two being wins over Iceland. The tip here is for an away win for Belgium.

Our Switzerland vs Belgium Prediction
Belgium remain in good form and a draw or a high-scoring defeat by a one-goal margin will be enough to get them into the finals of the UEFA Nations League. Their opponents lost at home to Qatar in midweek and have lost four of their last six games. Belgium beat them 2-1 at home and can get the away win here to win the group.
