Sweden vs Malta Prediction & Betting Tips - Euro

Sweden have four points from their opening two games in this European Championship qualifying group and are two points behind leaders Spain. With the Spanish side home to the Faroe Islands the same evening, Sweden will want a win against Malta before traveling to Spain in their next fixture. The Swedes started their campaign with two first-half goals getting them a 2-1 home win over Romania. That was followed by a dramatic 3-3 away draw in Norway. They trailed 2-0 but a 91st minute goal gave them a 3-2 lead, only for the Norwegians to equalize six minutes later. Sweden have gone six games unbeaten (excluding a non FIFA recognised loss to Finland) and won promotion to League A in the UEFA Nations League. They are unbeaten in their last six home Euro qualifiers.

Malta are fourth in the group with three points from their two games. They got off to a great start with a 2-1 home victory over the Faroe islands, a win that ended a run of 16 games without a victory. The run of success didn't last though as they lost their next game 2-0 at home to Spain with Morata scoring both goals. Malta have two draws and seven defeats from their last nine away matches but that's nothing compared to their away record in European Championship qualifiers. They have played 51 games in the last 57 years and haven't won any of them. Sweden can be backed to win this game and lead at both half and full time.
