Sweden vs Estonia Prediction & Betting Tips - UEFA Nations League

Sweden face Estonia in their second games in Nations League Group C1 on Sunday. The Blagult are looking for a second successive win in the tournament, while the Sinisargid are seeking their first points following a narrow defeat in their opening match. Let’s check out our prediction for the game!

Jon Dahl Tomasson’s Sweden began their campaign with an impressive 3-1 win away to Azerbaijan. All four goals in that game came in the second half, with Alexander Isak netting twice and Viktor Gyokeres adding a penalty for Sweden. Late on in the game Renat Dadashov grabbed a consolation for the home team. 

The victory marked a return to winning ways for Sweden after they had lost both their previous two matches, 2-1 to Denmark and then 3-0 at home to Serbia, back in June. 

Estonia suffered heavy defeats to Poland (5-1) and Switzerland (4-0) earlier this year but had come into their last game with Slovakia following success at the Baltic Cup. There they beat the Faroe Islands 4-1 and, in the final, defeated Lithuania on penalties following a 1-1 draw.

However, their first Nations League game didn’t continue that form as they were narrowly beaten 1-0 by Slovakia at the Le Coq Arena in Tallinn. Tomas Suslov’s 70th-minute goal earned three points for the much-fancied Slovakians. 

To compound matters, they now face a Swedish side they have never beaten in 20 games between the two teams. They have managed just two draws across those 20 fixtures.
