Sweden and Estonia will bring their UEFA European Championship Qualifiers to an end when they face off on Sunday. This is the last match for both sides, and the hosts are currently in third place in Group F, while the visitors are fifth. Neither of these sides will be able to progress, with Austria and Belgium having already secured the top two places in the group. Sweden will be bitterly disappointed with their performance in this competition. They have managed just seven points in as many games and trail Belgium in second place by ten points. The Swedes suffered a 3-0 defeat to Azerbaijan in midweek, marking their fourth loss in these qualifiers. Of those four losses, two came on their home patch. The Blue and Yellow’s biggest win in this competition came in the reverse fixture, where they won 5-0. While qualification may be out of their reach, the hosts will want to sign off from the competition with another solid victory. 

Meanwhile, Estonia have struggled in this group and never really looked as though they were capable of upsetting any of the sides above them. After losing to Austria last week, the visitors are now on a five-match losing streak. They have conceded two or more goals in each of those matches, which included two 5-0 defeats back in September. Their only point earned in qualifying came back in week two when they held Azerbaijan to a 1-1 draw. Evidently, the Blueshirts still have a long way to go to challenge the more established European nations, as they have failed to win any of their last four away games. The visitors will be playing for nothing more than pride in this one, but they are likely to find it very difficult to get anything against this opponent.
