Sweden vs Austria Prediction & Betting Tips - Euro

Sweden will be at home against Austria on Tuesday looking to boost their 2024 Euro qualifying hopes. The two nations are competing in Group F of the qualifiers where Austria are second and Sweden third. Sweden are four points adrift of the qualifying places. The hosts will therefore have to win here to avoid being left by the wayside in the race for Germany. Jan Andersson’s charges have had a rocky campaign and have won two and lost two of their four qualifiers. The good thing however is that they arrive for this match off the back of a magnificent 5-0 victory away to Estonia. The win on Saturday was the perfect response to their 2-0 loss away to Austria back in June. The Blagult have won three of their last four games and have scored at least four goals a match in all three. Five different scorers scored against Estonia with Victor Gyokeres among them. The Sporting Lisbon forward has now scored twice in these qualifiers.

Austria have won the last three meetings with Sweden extending their unbeaten run against them to four matches. The last two matches (home) have ended in similar 2-0 scorelines. They scored four goals in a 4-1 success the last time they were away in Sweden which was back in 2015. Austria have amassed 10 points in Group F and sit second tied on points with leaders Belgium. They have won three of their four qualifiers. Ralf Ragnick’s men bring with them a seven-match unbeaten record to this match. They have won five times in this spell with their last win coming against Sweden back in June. The Boys were held to a 1-1 draw by Moldova in a friendly on Thursday. Ragnick rested from the start several players who will be expected to take centre stage against Sweden. One of them was Christoph Baumgartner who played the second half of that friendly. The forward scored a brace in the reverse fixture against Sweden.
