Sheffield United finished 10th last season but this time round they seem to hold on a different ambition and if their performance so far is anything to go by, they will be in the Premier League next season. Make no mistake though, it is still a tight race up there, as well as in the promotion playoff slots, where 13th placed Swansea must be targeting. Sheffield have picked four wins in their last five matches, only losing one, an FA Cup clash and being out of the tournament should be enough motivation going to this clash. They have managed three clean sheets in the last five matches and have scored three goals on three occasions in the last five matches. They have failed to score in just two of their last 11 matches and they have also been good away from home, currently on a five match unbeaten run away from home, scoring two goals or more in four of the matches. Swansea have also done well in their recent outings; they are four matches unbeaten but with just one win in the last five home matches, we can’t say they are in the best shape to face Sheffield at the moment. The two sides have met eight times in history; Swansea have won four and Sheffield three, with one match ending in a draw. In the last six meetings, each side has managed three wins.
