Swansea vs QPR Prediction & Betting Tips - Championship

The midweek Championship fixture list pits Swansea City against Queens Park Rangers at Liberty Stadium. Both teams are coming off the back of defeats at the weekend. At the time of writing, Swansea are in ninth place in the table despite going down 3-2 at home to Derby County on Saturday. Manager Steve Cooper will be particularly frustrated with this defeat because his team had overturned a deficit only to fall victim to a comeback themselves. QPR boss Mark Warburton will feel the same pain for different reasons. He watched his side suffer a limp 2-0 loss at Huddersfield that keeps them in 17th place. With a nine-point gap between them and the drop, they won't sweat relegation just yet, but any hopes of obtaining a play-off spot look foolish. A promising start to the season gave way to a mediocre slump in October that they have yet to recover from. They have only won four of their last 19 league matches, a run that is unsustainable if they want to preserve their status as a Championship club.
Swansea also enjoyed a fast start to this season that ran out of steam in November. They still have promotion aspirations and it would be silly to rule them out of making a late dash for the play-offs. QPR are beatable opponents as Swansea proved when they won in London a few months back. A largely second-string Swansea side were battered on their last visit in the FA Cup in January, yet that team won't resemble the one that takes the field on Tuesday. The Swans had been playing well at home (unbeaten in five of their last six) before losing to Derby. They made the mistake of being lured into an end-to-end match and were repeatedly caught. QPR don't pose the same threat as Derby and we see Swansea being cuter this time around. Back a home win.
