USM Alger will travel away to Supersport United on Sunday seeking to maintain their 100% CAF Confederations Cup start. The two teams have been pooled together in Group A where after one round of matches USM are top and Supersport third. Supersport United suffered a 1-0 loss on matchday one away to Modern Future. The loss is part of their current four-match run without a win. Gavin Hunt’s men have lost three times in this stretch and have failed to score in two of those defeats. They were defeated 2-0 last time out in the PSL by Mamelodi Sundowns to fall further away from top spot.

USM Alger started the defence of their title with a 2-0 home win over Al Hilal Benghazi. Juan Carlos Garrido’s men have been struggling in the Algerian topflight. They will hope a strong start to this competition sparks an upturn in fortunes back home. USM are currently just two points above the drop zone in Ligue 1. Before the win over Al Hilal, they had lost back-to-back games. Sunday’s visitors haven’t won any of their last five away matches and have been defeated four times. They have failed to score in three of those games which have all ended in similar 1-0 scorelines.
