Sunderland are still in the relegation zone and three games under new boss Sam Allardyce have seen one win and two defeats. Their fans will be happy that they managed to beat Newcastle 3-0 in their only home game under Allardyce but concerned at the fact they got hammered 6-2 at Everton last weekend. Their defence still looks a major worry and six times this season they have conceded three or more goals in a game. January should see plenty of transfer activity by Sunderland but they need some more points on the table before then if they want to stay in the Premier League. Southampton are up to 7th in the table only four points off the Champions League places. Away from home they are unbeaten in the Premier League but have only won one of their five games but that was at Stamford Bridge. They are unbeaten in seven games in all competions but the fact they haven't won at clubs such as Watford, Newcastle and West Brom is the main reason I think this game will end in a draw.
