Both these teams really need the points from this game. Sunderland remain in deep relegation trouble despite that draw at Liverpool last weekend. That point left them still four points from safety and they have gone four league games without a win. They still have Leicester, Arsenal, Chelsea and Everton to play at home so it's  difficult run-in for the struggling side who have conceded in their last 12 games. They desperately need to get a clean sheet from somewhere but that might be difficult against a Manchester United side that has improved a fair bit in the last week or so. Three games without defeat and seven goals scored is a lot better for United and they suddenly seem to be playing  a bit like the United side that their fans have been so used to. United are desperate to get into the Champions League again next season (so are their owners and accountants) but they are six points adrift of fourth place and with a far inferior goal difference. This is a game they just have to win to keep up with the top four especially with their next game being home to Arsenal, another must win game. I go for United to get the win here against a Sunderland side that just can't keep a clean sheet to save their Premier League skins.
