Sunderland are still in the bottom three with just three games to go. They have a game in hand (a home game against Everton in midweek) on Newcastle and trail them by just a point. With Newcastle at Aston Villa this weekend the pressure is really on Sunderland to get a result here. At least four points from their last two home games is a must I reckon. Form isn't too bad for a team in their situation with just two defeats in the last 11 and one in the last eight, the trouble is they have drawn six of the last eight matches and how they just wish one had been converted into a win. At home Sunderland have one defeat (to Leicester) in their last five games but just four wins and even worse only 17 goals indicates why they are in the bottom three. Defence at home is good though with only 18 conceded, poor Sunderland fans aren't just starved of success but seeing goals too. Chelsea are ninth in the table and aren't likely to get any higher. They fought back to get a 2-2 draw against Spurs on Monday (and Leicester fans will be eternally grateful for that) but also draw far too many games. 12 altogether in the league this season but mainly at home. Over the last eight away games they have the best record in the Premier League with six wins, a draw and a loss to Swansea. They've only conceded four goals in the last eight away games and don't look like a side that just want to play out the season, John Terry wouldn't let them anyway. I think after that comeback against Spurs they can go up to Sunderland and break a few hearts with an away win.
