Stuttgart vs Eintracht Frankfurt Prediction & Betting Tips - DFB Pokal
by Daniel Ngulu in DFB Pokal Predictions
Stuttgart are on a good run, which they will hope to uphold as they play host to Eintracht Frankfurt in the second semi final of the German Cup. The two sides clash on the back of contrasting runs in the Bundesliga. Hosts Stuttgart posted an important win in their last game, beating Borussia Monchengladbach 2-1 to stretch their run of unbeaten matches to five. They now have three wins and two draws in five matches though having failed to keep a clean sheet in the last four matches. Stuttgart have scored two or more goals in three of their last four matches and three of the four games have produced over 2.5 goals. They will hope this run lays the perfect foundation for them to end the eight-game run without a win over Frankfurt. Stuttgart last won the German Cup in 1997 and will be ho-ping to advance to the final and repeat the feat 25 years after that.
Eintracht Frankfurt’s ambitions for the season in the Bundesliga have come under serious threat, with a run of four matches without a win. They have dropped out of European football slots and thus this will be a key game for them. They come into this match unbeaten in eight against Stuttgart, but will be wary of a much-improved Stuttgart side. Eintracht Frankfurt are coming from a 1-1 draw at home to Augsburg, extending a winless run that has two losses and zero clean sheets, while having conceded nine times in the four games. The visitors have managed one clean sheet only in the last five matches, which came in the last round of this competition as they beat Union Berlin. Their away run is even poorer, as they are without a win in 10 competitive games on the road.

Our Stuttgart vs Eintracht Frankfurt Prediction
Eintracht Frankfurt have a poor run coming into this game, and they’ve been struggling away from home in their recent matches, though they’ve rarely gone without scoring in recent matches. Stuttgart have also been good in attack, and they’ve stabilized in recent matches, with a five-game unbeaten run, though they still have work to do defensively. With this in mind, our prediction for Stuttgart v Eintracht Frankfurt is for the home team to win.
