Stoke City may well be eighth in the table but they have dreams of playing in the Champions League next season. They trail fourth placed Manchester City by just five points though they have played a game more. Perhaps a more realistic hope is qualifying for the Europa League and they trail sixth placed Manchester United by four points again having played a game more. If seventh place did become a Europa League qualification spot then they are just a point behind Southampton (who beat them recently) on level games. They have to keep winning though and have just one in their last three league matches, an away win over Watford. Home form isn't bad with two wins in the last three, though wins over Villa and Newcastle isn't really preparation for taking on the best sides in Europe. Swansea are ten points clear of the bottom three, mainly achieved by three home wins in the last five. Away form saw that win at Arsenal but that's been followed up by a  loss at Bournemouth. Stoke are quite handy at home so I think they can get a win here to keep their European hopes alive.
