Stoke City suffered a heavy 4-0 defeat at Tottenham last week. They are 10th in the table, little chance of getting European football, out of the FA Cup and ten points clear of the relegation zone. The Potters take on Middlesbrough who are in deep trouble at the foot of the table.  Stoke have only scored 30 league goals this season and Middlesbrough just the 19, doesn't look like being a 3-3 draw does it? Stoke only have one win in their last five league matches - a 1-0 win over Palace - and that's also the only home win in their last seven matches.  Eight of the last nine home Stoke matches have had under 2.5 goals. Middlesbrough are a place above the bottom three and only out the relegation zone on goal difference. No wins in their last nine league games and just four points from those matches and only three goals. Away from home, Boro have one point from the last six and just the one goal at Old Trafford. After winning at Sunderland in their first away league game of the season, Boro haven't managed another win in the next 12. Pretty dismal reading for Middlesbrough fans but they are in the quarter finals of the FA Cup thanks to three home ties against sides from outside the Premier League. Go for under 2.5 goals in this match and if you want to see a classic, avoid this!
