It can't be easy for Luis van Gaal at present. He has Ryan Giggs ready to take over as boss one day and Jose Mourinho without a job. Now isn't the best time for his side to go six games without a win in all competitions. The lack of goals was bad enough but losing to Bournemouth and Norwich in a week just isn't good enough and two days after this game United have Chelsea at home. United really are struggling at present and away form is a big worry too with just two wins in their last ten games in all competitions. Another loss here for United and a poor result against Chelsea might just convince the club's owners to have someone else spend millions in the January transfer window. Stoke are down to 11th and like United struggling for form and goals. Even at 11th though they are only six points off the top four. Stoke only have one win in their last four league games but at least their last match had three goals in it which is a rarity for Stoke fans. 11 games had been played since there were last three goals scored in a Stoke game. Stoke are inconsistent at home but can beat top sides as they did with Chelsea and Man City. Predicting the result isn't easy but with both sides not exactly scoring lots of goals I go for under 2.5 goals being scored as the best bet.
