Championship rivals Stoke City and Cardiff City lock horns in the fourth round of the FA Cup at the bet365 Stadium on Saturday afternoon. The Potters and Bluebirds were both eliminated in the third round of last season’s FA Cup. Let’s get into the match prediction!

Stoke City will be feeling a lot better about themselves after halting a five-match winless run in the Championship with a 2-1 victory over Hull City last weekend. 

However, that victory was only the Potters’ third in their last 17 matches across all competitions, with one of those being their win against Sunderland in extra-time in round three of this competition. 

Despite their difficulties this term, the hosts have been tough to overcome at home, unbeaten in their last three home matches (W1 D2 L0) while maintaining clean sheets in each of those games.

Meanwhile, Cardiff City will come into this match looking to put a 7-0 drubbing at the hands of Leeds United last weekend behind them.  

However, before that hammering at Elland Road, the Bluebirds had built up a nice run of results. They were unbeaten in seven consecutive league matches while also knocking Sheffield United out of this competition. 

Additionally, the visitors have shown solid improvement on the road, with just one loss in their last five outings (W2 D2 L1) - a significant upturn after failing to win a single away game since the start of the season.
