Elversberg plays host to Bayer Leverkusen at the Waldstadion Kaiserlinde in the German DFB Pokal. The home team won the Regionalliga Sudwest league last season which gave them promotion to Liga 3 which is the third tier of German football. They had an excellent start to life in the promoted league as they won their opening match 5-1.
