Sporting are second in the table behind Porto and are yet to concede a league goal.The season started with a 2-0 home win over Maritimo and that was followed up by a 1-0 win at Ferreira Their home form last season was strong with just the one defeat by Benfica which cost them the league title. Porto have started the season well with two straight wins taking them to the top of the table. They began their season with a 3-1 away win at Rio Ave. and then a 1-0 home win over Estoril. Not the hardest of starts for them and this is a lot, lot harder. Andre Miguel Valente Silva doesn't just have a very long name, he's also in form with three goals in all competitions so far this season. They have had success in Europe though knocking Roma out of the Champions League and making the group stages. Last season saw them finish third in the league 13 points behind second placed Sporting. They lost four away league games last season including a 2-0 defeat at Sporting who also beat them 3-1 on their home territory. Porto have made a good start but this is a lot tougher and Sporting can get a home win.
