Portuguese titans Sporting Lisbon look to maintain their unbeaten record on Friday night when they host Maritimo in Liga Nos action. The Primeira Liga champions are third after six games (four wins, two draws, no defeats), level on points with Porto and four behind Benfica. Maritimo have not started as strongly, and they find themselves 11th with six points (1-3-2) going into this fixture. Sporting have not started the season in the most convincing fashion, but they continue to keep the pace with rivals early on. They bounced back from a heavy Champions League defeat to Ajax in midweek by winning away at Estoril, who had previously been unbeaten. It was a hard-fought 1-0 win and the fourth league game in a row involving Sporting that featured fewer than three goals. Pote was Sporting's breakout star in the last campaign, firing in 23 goals in all competitions. While he has started this season brightly, finding the back of the net four times in three matches, Sporting are too dependent on him. They failed to win two of the recent three games he missed through injury and didn't score more than once in any of those fixtures. 

Sporting should be able to cope without Pote against Maritimo. The visitors failed to win nine of their last ten league matches and lost on their previous five visits to Estadio Jose Alvalade. Sporting are unbeaten in their past 20 league matches at home, and we don't expect that run to end here. Back Sporting to win with a clean sheet.
