Sporting Portugal plays host to Chaves at the Estádio José Alvalade for this match in the Portuguese Primera Division. The home team are currently in 10th place after three games with four points while the visitors are one position lower but with the same number of points. Sporting are coming off a disappointing 3-0 loss to champions Porto in their last match while Chaves drew 1-1 with Chizela in their last match. The home team finished runner up last season and were looking to go one better this this time around but just one win from their opening three games has seen them in desperate need of a victory. They have only recorded one win in their last six matches across all competitions with three losses and two draws. Sporting have however been better at home, losing just twice in their last eight matches.
