Sporting Gijon vs Zaragoza Prediction & Betting Tips - LaLiga 2

Gameweek 11 in the Segunda Division will see Sporting Gijon playing host to Real Zaragoza on Saturday evening. The hosts are currently in eighth place, while the visitors are in fifth spot. After a very poor 17th-placed finish last term, Sporting Gijon look much better this season. They are on 17 points after 10 matches with a record of five wins, two draws, and three losses. The hosts lost their last match 3-2 against Racing Santander, which brought an end to a six-match unbeaten streak. Sporting’s major strength this season has been their home form. Los Rojiblancos have won all four matches at  Estadio Municipal El Molinon this season and have scored two or more goals in each of those games. The hosts won the last meeting between these sides, which was at this venue, and are the clear favourites to do likewise in this one. 

Meanwhile, Real Zaragoza made the perfect start to the 2023-24 campaign. They secured the maximum 15 points in their first five matches, keeping four clean sheets in the process. However, since then, the visitors have only taken four points from the last 15 on offer. Their last match ended in a 2-0 home loss against Alcorcon, which was their third defeat in four matches. They also failed to score a single goal in any of those three losses. Zaragoza have won three of their four away games this season. Still, against a Sporting side that are good at home, the visitors may find it difficult to get a result in this one.
