Sporting lead Benfica by one point at the top of the table with Porto in third four points off the pace and praying that this game ends in a draw and they win at fourth placed Braga. Both Sporting and Benfica are in superb form at present and there really is little between them. Sporting have the better defence with just 14 goals conceded this season, nine of those have been at home though. The league leaders are yet to taste defeat on home territory in the league this season but have drawn three of their 12 games. Recent form has seen them unbeaten in 11 league games though they did get knocked out of the Europa League by Bayer Leverkusen. Benfica are still in the Champions League and defend a 1-0 lead in Zenit St Petersburg next week. They have a bit of revenge to get on Sporting having lost 3-0 at home to them earlier this season. Benfica have won 14 of their last 15 league and cup games but that loss was at home to title rivals Porto. Away from home, they have suffered two league defeats. A tight game is guaranteed here and I think it'll end in a draw as three of the last five encounters between these two sides have.
