Struggling Spezia have a tough task before them in their next match with Inter Milan coming to visit on Friday in round 26 of the Italian Serie A. Spezia sit just three points above the drop zone while Inter are on the opposite end of the table in second place with 50 points. To avoid a frantic end to the season, Spezia need to start winning as early as now as we approach the final 10 matches of the campaign. Leonardo Semplici’s men come to this match without a win in their last eight matches with five of those matches being defeats. They have however halted this losing streak by drawing their last two matches. The Aquilotti have struggled at both ends of the field and in their last eight matches, have conceded two or more goals in seven while at the same time failing to score in five. With these stats, another poor showing could be on the cards here, especially with how Inter have been paying in recent weeks.

Inter Milan got back to winning ways last time out after the shock loss to Bologna in round 24, by beating Lecce 2-0 at the San Siro. Simone Inzaghi’s men had seen their hold on second spot weakened by Bologna who ended a six-match unbeaten run. With a slim two-point lead on third place, Inter cannot afford to slip up, especially against a Spezia side in free fall. The Nerazzurri have won six of their last eight matches and have kept five clean sheets in this run. They however haven’t been explosive in attack and have scored two or more goals just three times during this spell.
