Spain hope to reclaim the European Championship when they set off for Euro 2020, with their first game being against Sweden in Group E. The former champions will have the privilege of playing this game on home soil, the game set to be staged in Seville. Positive Covid-19 tests are however threatening to take the shine off this game, one of the high profile matches lined up at the tournament. Sweden are winless in the last four meetings with Spain. The two nations were in the same qualification group and Spain topped with 26 points having beaten Sweden at home then drawn away. Sweden were second with 21 points. The Swedes go to this game straight from a five-game winning run, and after keeping four clean sheets in the process, they will be looking to shock one of the pre tournament favorites. To achieve that, they will need to improve a great deal on how they handle away matches, as they have lost four of the last five, and have just one clean sheet in the last six.
