Spain play host to Sweden at the Estadio de La Cartuja in Sevilla for this World Cup Group B match. The Spanish lead the group with 16 points from their seven games while Sweden are one point behind on 15 from the same number of games. Spain have not been at their best form in the qualifiers but have found form at the crucial stage winning their last three matches including a 1-0 away win to Greece in their last match. They now only need a draw in their final match to clinch top spot and confirm their ticket to the World Cup. They have not lost at home thus far with two wins and a draw in their home games. In the three matches they have only conceded two goals while scoring eight. Spain have only lost once in their last ten home games with that loss coming against France in the United League.

Sweden come into this match on the back of a 2-0 away loss to Georgia. This loss has meant they now have to win this match in order to secure the automatic qualifying spot. In their qualifying campaign they have lost two of their matches with wins in the other five. Their poor away form has cost them as they have lost their last two away fixtures. They face a mammoth task in trying to beat Spain as the group leaders have an outstanding record at home while Sweden have not beaten Spain in the last five away fixtures losing four and drawing one. Sweden has only won one of their last eight away matches and that win came against Kosovo.
