This group was supposed to be dominated by Spain and Italy but Israel have so far been crashing the party. Spain top the group after four games on goal difference from Italy. Israel are third but only a point behind the top two and will go above Spain with a shock win here. Spain are unbeaten in six games since losing their European title last summer. That includes a 2-0 win against Belgium and a draw in this group with Italy. Two home games in this group have been won 8-0 against Leichtenstein and 4-0 over Macedonia, throw in a 2-0 win in Albania and that 1-1 draw in Italy and Spain have scored 16 goals with just one conceded.  Israel haven't been shook off just yet though but they don't get great results against the top sides. They have nine points from four games and their three wins haven't been that convincing. A 2-1 home win over Leichtenstein (both goals scored in the first 18 minutes) and a win by the same score in Macedonia. Much better was their 3-0 away win in Albania but Italy went to Israel and beat them 3-1. Spain have just one friendly home loss in their last 12 games and can get a convincing win over Israel on a -2 handicap.
