Spain are three points clear at the top of the group and have a goal difference which is 17 better than that of nearest rivals Italy. Their final two games are home to Albania and away to Israel and one win should be enough to get them to Russia. They opened up a gap at the top of the table with a 3-0 win over Italy and have won all their group games apart from a 1-1 draw in Italy scoring a total of 32 goals and conceding just three. Spain have won all their home games in this group scoring 19 goals in four wins. They are on a 12 game unbeaten run with 11 goals in their last two matches.  Spain have never lost a home World Cup qualifier, that's an incredible 54 game unbeaten run with 12 wins out of the last 14. Albania are third in the group and six points behind Italy needing a miracle to get in the top two. They'd have to beat Spain away and then Italy at home and have a vastly inferior goal difference to the Italians so it's not looking likely especially as they have only won two of their last eight games and have lost all six previous games against Spain conceding 26 goals and only scoring twice. Spain can win this on a -2 handicap to reach Russia.
