Two sides here who aren't anywhere near as consistent as they'd like to be. Southampton earned a valuable win on Wednesday when they beat Watford 2-0. That ended a run of three games without a win but was only their second win in nine league matches. That took them to 12th in the table and seven points adrift of the top six and nine above the relegation zone. It would be so important for Southampton to get a win here because they haven't managed two straight wins in the league all season. West Brom are a place below Southampton on goal difference. It's been another strange week for them. Last Saturday they needed a late goal to avoid being knocked out of the FA Cup by Championship side Bristol City. Then on Wednesday they came from behind twice to get a 2-2 draw at Stamford Bridge. Albion have drawn three of their last four away league games and earned a 0-0 draw with them earlier this season. The game between the two sides at St Mary's also ended in a draw so I go for another stalemate here.
