Southampton vs Watford Prediction & Betting Tips - Premier League

Just how much ambition do Southampton have? They've qualified for the Europa League for the second year in a row but then go and sell a whole string of top players. Pelle, Sane and Wanyama have all left the club and their replacements don't look anywhere near as good. Even worse Ronald Koeman has gone to Everton and Southampton have a French manager with no experience of the Premier  League (ask Villa fans how that works out). The opening weeks of the season are going to be really important for the Saints, especially home form. They have visits from Watford, Sunderland, Swansea and Burnley and need to get at least three wins because away from home they have Man Utd, Arsenal, West Ham, Leicester and Manchester City and I'm not expecting a string of wins there. Watford at home is a good start for the new-look (but unlikely to be so strong) Saints. It's a good job that Watford had a promising start to the season because the second half saw them in relegation form. They also have a new manager and haven't set the transfer market alight.  Watford lost eight of their last ten away league games last season and even though Southampton have acted like idiots during the summer (no change there) the Saints can get a win in this match.
