Southampton vs Manchester United Prediction & Betting Tips - Premier League

Southampton finished seventh in the table last year and qualified for the Europa League. For most of the season they were challenging for a Champions League place until some bad away results scuppered those ambitious hopes. This season hasn't been quite so successful and they are currently 10th in the table. They failed to reach the group stages of the Europa League and have only won one of their five Premier League games. That was at home to a Norwich City team that had a player sent off and then conceded three goals.  Southampton did lose 3-0 at home to Everton but recent performances have shown they are difficult to score against just as was the case last season and they have kept three consecutive clean sheets in the Premier League.  Manchester United are 3rd in the table but come into this game fresh from a hugely disappointing 2-1 away defeat at PSV in the Champions League. Their away form isn't that great and that was their second successive defeat on the road after losing at Swansea City. Injury problems are mounting up too with that terrible injury to Luke Shaw on Tuesday. Wayne Rooney and Phil Jones are also missing at present and United may be glad with a draw here.
