Southampton vs Manchester City Prediction & Betting Tips - Premier League

Southampton start the weekend in eighth place in the Premier League and still have a chance of getting into the Europa League next season. They need a strong finish to their season though and a bit of luck from Manchester. A United FA Cup win and City taking the Champions League can make seventh place a Europa League qualification spot. A home game against City and a trip to Spurs isn't the easiest of run-ins though before a final home game against cup finalists Palace. Southampton are in decent form though with just one defeat in their last seven league matches and that was away to Leicester. The goals are flowing too with eight in the last three but clean sheets not so much, even Villa put two past them last weekend and they have conceded in their last nine league games. Only Chelsea have won here in the last eight league games so City face a tough task on Sunday. What will City do here though? The 0-0 draw at home to Real Madrid in the Champions League semi-final first leg was a decent result so will they leave out key players to rest them for the vital second leg? The problem is they need to keep winning in order to secure a top four place. Form is good though with 13 points from the last five league games and 14 goals scored and a four game unbeaten run away from home. It might be an idea to place bets once you know the team they put out. That's a reason I'm steering away from a win-draw-lose bet but instead go for both teams to score.
