Southampton are just above the red zone and while they need this win to take them further away, it will not be easy against a Cardiff side coming from a win over Bournemouth, which by all means was unexpected. They will be right to imagine they can pick points here, as they take on a Cardiff side with three straight away losses and just a win in the 12 away league matches they have played this season. Cardiff have lost nine of the 12 away league matches they have played this season. Cardiff have beaten Southampton in three of their last five matches and head to head, they have won seven of 13 meetings, with Southampton picking four wins.
