Southampton have shown signs of revival in their recent matches and will be hoping to bag three points when they get to host Aston Villa in their next Premier League game. They go into the game bottom of the league standings with 15 points, 10 behind Villa who are in 11th place. Southampton will be targeting a fourth straight win in all competitions. They are coming from a 2-1 win over Everton in the last game, with James Ward-Prowse scoring a brace to complete a second half comeback. Three of their last five matches have had over 2.5 goals. Their run in the last three matches will be the most they will want to take to this league game, having been dismal in their league performance. Aston Villa, on their part, are coming into this game off a 2-1 win over Leeds United and they will be targeting their third win in five matches.
